“Let this Father’s Day be very special to you. Every day you make a great effort to bring up our family. I am happy to be your wife and the mother of your child."

Paolo and I have probably known each other for a lifetime. Being together for almost 12 years now (more than 2 years of being married) some of you might think that we've grown too familiar with each other, but in reality, there is still more to discover. Our habits, our perspectives, our attitude towards things changed when Leon came into our life. We, especially my husband, Paolo became more matured, more hardworking, more assertive, more careful and more responsible. From planning our next vacation and thinking of what to shop to investing our funds in insurances, to exploring other career opportunities. Leon transformed Paolo (positively) to a different individual and I am impressed of the person he is becoming. Hence, I decided to devote a special celebration to honor all his efforts in keeping our little family intact. Yesterday, we celebrated #FathersDayAtSofitel.

Paolo and I love food. While some people splurge on luxury items, gadgets, clothes or shoes, Paolo and I usually spend a lot of our money in food and experiences. Since Paolo and I have been in a lot of restaurants already, I brought him to the buffet where we could have the best of the best, which (IMO) is Spirals.
For father's day, Paolo and I enjoyed the free flowing champagne and juices in Spirals. We both enjoyed eah and every dish the buffet has to offer. I personally enjoyed their fine cheese and cold cuts, and their sushi (especially the tamago) while Paolo went crazy over the Indian and Japanese cuisine. We stayed in Spirals for more than 3 hours or until our stomach ran out of space.

We then strolled around Sofitel and enjoyed its breathtaking view. It may be Father's Day, but I forced him to take my (blogworthy) photos. (My husband still has the skills!) We also enjoyed our a little quiet time at the pool area. We decided to celebrate to celebrate Fathers Day on our own (left Leon at home with his grandparents and carer) so we could have (half of) the day on our own. Finding time together has been very tough since Leon came and having dates like this is very crucial in keeping the romance alive in our relationship. We took advantage of Spiral's cozy and romantic ambiance to reminisce, talk about the things we currently do and plan for our future. I made sure that it was his day -- a day where he would enjoy and savor food in his most favorite restaurant, void of pressure from work and stress from a hyperactive toddler. (Though I secretly wish we brought Leon with us, though).

This has been our most romantic Fathers Day ever (felt like it was Valentines Day, actually). I seriously love giving Paolo gifts, or giving him surprise parties (basically spoiling him) cause I feel it is my best way to show how much I appreciate all the efforts he is doing for me and my family. Paolo and I may have been together for many years but we never get tired of letting each other feel how much we value them.
Hope you like this post! By the way, advanced Happy Father's Day to all dads out there :) Much Love,
The Bargain Doll
