Beauty Bargain: Full Makeup in a Budget

Untitled
I don't know if you're like me, but I'm always on the lookout for bargain when it comes to clothes and make-up (or basically anything). Since I always want to look beautiful without hurting my pocket, I opt for cheaper alternatives but with high end quality. Especially now that I am a mother, my thriftiness became far worse (but in a good way, I think!). So for today's post, let me share to you my current (affordable) make up favorites that I use for work everyday to achieve my no make up make up look. The best part of this post, all items did not cost be beyond Php 2500!

I've been getting nice compliments since I started sporting my no-make-up-make-up look!

Face: Pond's Flawless White BB Cream (P299)
I am a self confessed Pond's girl. (Note that none of the products featured in this blog are sponsored and I'm testifying based on personal experience) Since I hit puberty, I have been using all pink colored Ponds for my face believing that someday I'd look like Claudine Baretto. I never looked like her but I must say that Ponds has been my secret weapon in maintaining my flawless skin. Since I am using the flawless white line on my face (for years now), I decided to use their BB Cream to compliment the effect. The BB cream has full coverage on my face, is not oily and gives me that glow that I need.

Brow: Nichido Eyebrow Pencil (P129)
Eyeliner: Maybelline Hypersharp Liner (P399)
You have probably watched my brow-make up video tutorial using L'oreal Brow Genius (if not click here) but since I recently changed my hair color, I went back to my reliable Nichido eyebrow pencil (in Chesnut). I love how it's easy to apply and how it compliments my new hair. (will post a video soon!). It's very cheap but gives a nice brow finish (if used properly). I am also using Maybelline's Hypersharp eyeliner on top of my eyelids to compliment my nude lipstick. It is highly pigmented so expect a fierce look, but the thin brush will help you achieve a thin eyeliner if desired.

Blush: Maybelline Pure Blush Mineral (Rose), P399
Since I'm going for a natural look, I listened to the saleslady's advise to get this blush. So far I am very much pleased with it. It already comes with a brush (yay) and if applied lightly, you'll achieve a sunkissed-like face.

Lips: Kate for Rimmel (Rosette), P 350 (Bought in Australia for 10 AUD)
This has been my secret so far. Everybody, I mean everybody who sees me wearing this lipstick will often ask and say: "What shade is that? What brand? It looks good on you!" Since then, I have been wearing this lippie as my staple. I brought  My husband brought this for me when we were in Australia (for 10 AUD) and it was one of his greatest gifts ever. It has a lustrous finish but long wearing (unless you eat or drink) so the value for money is worth it.

Concealer: Celeteque Dark Spot Concealer, P420 (Got a discount, Orig price is P595
Mascara: Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara, P149
Eyelash Curler: Nichido P80
Since I am working in Unilab, I got an employee discount for the Celeteque concealer. I ordered it to try, and I loved it. It has a medium coverage that's perfect for work and a nice slim stick that makes application very easy (especially when you do your makeup in the car). Maybelline's hypercurl mascara has been a staple product in my kit cause it never fails to make my eyes alive, especially when I'm at work.

And..
The best news is, everything costs P2,225 (for the whole face) only! Of course I did not buy those in one splurging, but I bought one or two items every pay day. Relatively, very affordable right?

There you go dears. I hope my post gave you an idea as to what (affordable) make up brands you may want to consider on your next beauty shopping. What are your thoughts? Please free to share!

Much Love,
 The Bargain Doll
