I Believe in Miracles
I used to doubt it before. But with the multitude of blessings I have been getting left and right, I am starting to believe that miracles do come true. Let me tell you why.
Almost four years ago, a myoma (cyst) was found on top of my uterus. I got really scared cause imagine, I was just 23 back then and I was surprised with the news that a benign tumor was found in my reproductive organ. Worse, it was really huge that I looked like I was carrying a 4 month old baby. I had my surgery done but it became very complicated that parts of my uterus was damaged. Since I told my OB to save it no matter what, they did a reconstructive surgery of my uterus (uteroplasty). It took me a year of hormonal therapy to correct my menstrual flow and other problems.
That's why I felt so overwhelmed when Paolo proposed to me almost a year after my surgery. I was so insecure that time cause I thought I won't be able to bear a child but Paolo assured me that despite of what I can and what I cannot give, he will love me no matter what. That was my first miracle.
You all know that Paolo and I exchanged our vows in this place a couple of months back. It was the happiest day of our lives. We were still overflowing with happiness when we, the newlyweds on honeymoon stage learned that I am already pregnant! All the worries, anxieties and insecurities faded the moment we learned the good news. I've always prayed so hard cause thought that I'll have a hard time giving Paolo a child but we never thought that it will happen so fast. God has been really good to us. He immediately answered our prayers. He gave us a wonderful wedding and now he has blessed us with a child. We continously pray that I will have a healthy pregnancy. Nevertheless, we believe that this baby is for us cause imagine, Paolo and I had a super tiring Boracay trip (where we had all sorts of water activities), I still went to the gym, did my usual heavy weight routines and crazy yoga, partied like crazy and, woah I was already a month pregnant! Thats why right after my first prenatal, I was advised to do bed rest and now I'm already on my 12th week of pregnancy.
The Lord will definitely grant your prayers.
I hope you liked my story. I missed blogging by the way!
