Melbourne was not initially included in our plan when we were booking our trip to Australia. Fortunately, Paolo gave in to my request and we were so glad that we were able to visit this beautiful city in our itinerary. It was a quick 3-day trip but it was worthy. We were not able to visit the zoos and the 12 apostles cause taking care of Leon was a challenge but to be able to feel the vibe and immerse in the feel of the city.
For our last day in Melbourne, our friends, Carlo and Jessa brought us to HARDWARE SOCIETE, one of the most famous breakfast spots in Melbourne. It was the best breakfast meal I ever tasted my whole life! The place is so jampacked that you have to wait at least 15-30 minutes for you to be seated.
Afterwards, we strolled around the CBD for some shopping and grafitti sighting. Its interesting to see how graffiti is artistically made in that place (compared to our country). We walked to visit the National Gallery of Victoria where Leon had the time of his life. The kids area in the Gallery made Leon crazy happy that we used the chance to get some rest.
We went back to our hotel afterwards to freshen up and pack our things. We went to harbor town (again) to shop in the outlet stores for Leon's ring bearer's suit and Paolo's leather shoes. We also let Leon play (he was soo happy) in the mall's play area before we had our late lunch at the Fish & Chips place.
Our Tita Naty managed to meet us up at the Spencer Train station around 5:30pm an hour before our bus ride to the airport. We had a quick chat over pies and coffee at Pie Face. (How nice for our friends and family members to make time for us). At 7 PM, we arrived at the airport, just in time for our flight back to Sydney.
Our trip to Melbourne was actually a good experience. It's amazing to see a progressive city but at the same time have a chill and relaxing vibe.
